our story
Born here. Raised here. Still calling the Northland home.
Jan and Andy were both born and raised in the Northland, where they’ve spent their lives building a family, growing a business, and making countless memories.
To them, home has always been about more than four walls and a roof. It’s gathering around the table, welcoming friends, sharing stories, trying new recipes, and—of course—debating who made it best!
That deep love for home, family, food, and the natural beauty of the Northland inspired Holy Cow Desserts.
“We wanted to share our passion for home and family by showing how easy it is to enrich our lives by extending our home beyond our house,” Jan says.
For Andy, creating Holy Cow Desserts was a natural next step. With more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur, he’s bringing his business expertise to a passion he’s enjoyed for as long as he can remember.
Long before Holy Cow Desserts, there were afternoons spent under the tree with church family—swapping recipes, sampling one another’s creations, and proudly insisting, “Mine’s the best!” There were also treasured memories in the kitchen with Grandma and Grandpa, where recipes, traditions, and unforgettable flavors were passed down one delicious bite at a time.
Those memories are at the heart of Holy Cow Desserts. We’re here to bring people together, share something delicious, and help create new memories along the way.
Wondering, “Can I make this?” or “How in the world do I do that?” Just ask Andy.
He’s always happy to offer ideas, answer questions, and help you find the right ingredients or flavors to make your creation special. Andy has farmed his entire life and travels far and wide in search of unique ingredients, unexpected flavors, and those little surprises that make you pause after the first bite and say, “Wow!”
Reach him by phone, email, or in person. He’s always ready to share a suggestion—and probably a story or two while he’s at it.
At Holy Cow Desserts, we believe the best recipes are about more than what goes in the bowl. They’re about who you’re with, the memories you make, and having a whole lot of fun along the way.
And as Andy likes to say:
“Holy Cow… this is good!”
